Focus on classical mosaic applications, techniques and designs. Students may choose to work from a study of a classical mosaic or create a mosaic mandala as the class will be taught for beginners and advanced students alike. Basic principles of mosaic will start the instruction and lead to each student choosing a path of design from; materials, colors, methods and substrates. Learn to work direct or indirect. We will be bringing our awareness to the beauty of a timeless art. 

The first day of class is mostly lecture and design of your project. Materials available for use in the classroom include a variety of glass, assorted mosaic tiles, some dishes, pebbles and other miscellaneous items that have been donated to the Creative Arts Center. Thinset adhesive, Weldbond adhesive and grout are also on hand for use on your class project.
