Mosaic Flower Sculpture: How-To Design & Make Your Own

My Dear Friends the world over,

Thank you for your interest in the mosaic flowers.  Over the years I have received many emails about how to make the flowers and I have just enabled the posts from my last blog so you may follow along and create your own medium-sized mosaic flower sculptures.  See the Blog-O-Kat (vintage posts) tab on this website.

Since the last postings, I have discovered some new materials.  One is a galvanized metal screen that can be used in place of the aluminum wire mesh.  I have yet to experiment with it.  The advantage is that it is less likely to react to cement and may remove the step of plaster tape.  It's worth playing with.  For resources check the RELATIONSHIPS & RESOURCES tab on this website.

Enjoy making your own flowers.  I will continue with a few follow-up posts and then my focus will be to create a book on making the flower sculptures in the large, medium and small sizes.

As you scroll through the vintage posts you will also find a how-to on working with small children in making a mosaic bench.  There's some good stuff in those old posts!

Again, I thank you for your interest and I wish you the best,

Katrina Doran
